As a company specializing in exports, we know first-hand the importance of a proper goods inspection.
This inspection is essential in export operations, whether for products from China, as in our case, or for goods coming from any other country. Especially if from outside the European Union. That is why we place goods inspection as a key axis within our quality management services.
In this way, we have to make sure that production has been appropriate and in accordance with what was agreed for shipment. In that agreement, the product sample and the quantity agreed with the supplier had to be verified beforehand, once it was confirmed that the quality controls had been met. Naturally, the manufacturers themselves must also be audited, which we will discuss in another article.
How to carry out a proper goods inspection?
It is very simple: by following a strict control at each of the points where part of the goods could be lost or damaged.
The first point of interest is the factory itself. This is where inspections of the product's manufacturing have to be carried out, always following the client's instructions. In this regard, you have to verify not only the product itself and the quantity, but also other aspects that might go unnoticed and that are essential during transport, such as the dimensions, distribution and packaging of the product.
After the goods leave the factory, the fundamental point in any inspection is before the goods are shipped. To do this, a qualified technician must inspect the cargo prior to shipment.
Why? Because it could be the case that the agreed cargo does not match reality. Imagine that there is no one who can 100% guarantee that the condition of the goods is correct. How would you detect where the failure occurred? It would be impossible to know.
If there were any incident affecting the cargo, an on-site person can contact the client to inform them of the situation. In this way, they can talk more quickly with the supplier to avoid misunderstandings and thus solve the problem more quickly and safely.
Control in exports
For greater confidence on the client's part, at MingTa we offer the highest guarantees for your goods. How do we achieve this? By producing photo reports showing all the important details of the product sample. The client can also consult these photographs on our Intranet. We also produce video reports of the entire inspection so that the client can confirm the state of the cargo.
In addition, we prepare detailed written reports of all the work carried out during the goods inspection. An easy way for the client to consult that information at any time.
