In 2015 the Chinese New Year will begin on February 19, moving from the Year of the Horse to the Year of the Goat. The national holidays run from February 18 to 24, although many factories and shops close much earlier and reopen much later.
It should be noted that Chinese New Year is by far the most important holiday in China and would be comparable to combining Christmas and the Summer holidays of many Western countries, so in practice the entire month of February is virtually inoperative.
At MingTa we want to wish you a Happy New Year and to remind you that, although it will not be possible to start new purchasing projects in China during the month, any time is a good time to contact us.
Happy Year of the Goat!
