The Peru-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is the first trade agreement between China and a developing country that includes benefits on trade in goods, services and investments. This is certainly the first step towards integration with China, as it brings with it a series of benefits that will make it easier to complete the subsequent stages of integration. This FTA (Free Trade Agreement) is of vital importance to import from China to Peru.
This agreement, in force since March 1, 2010, is the first step towards strengthening economic and trade relations for the development of both countries. In this case, the agreement is presented as the first step towards economic integration in order to expand trade and economic ties.
60% of Peruvian imports, i.e., all those of Chinese origin, become duty free, as well as almost all exports to China, which is a great economic benefit for all those companies that export/import to China or plan to do so in the future.
(It must be taken into account that one of the main disadvantages when importing a product is the tariff barrier to which it is subject because it increases the price and reduces the profit margin, among others).
In the following posts we will continue talking about the countries with which China has signed trade agreements and the advantages they offer.
