As every year around this time, the arrival of the Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, is approaching. In this year 2014, the Chinese New Year will be celebrated on January 31. We will leave behind the year of the snake to enter fully into the year of the horse according to the Chinese horoscope.
When it comes to importing from China, Chinese New Year is a tremendously important time. This means that from the last week of January (around the 23rd) until mid-February (around the 10th) the whole country will be on vacation.
Unlike in the West, for example at Christmas, China completely ceases its activity. Workers travel to their home towns, thousands of miles away, leaving the factories empty. The same applies to logistics services. It is literally impossible to get goods out of China at this time of year.
The return from the vacations is also often quite chaotic for the industry. This is due to the fact that many workers stay in their villages to get married, so factories have to start express selection processes to recover production as soon as possible.
That is why from MingTa Group every year we recommend our customers to hurry up with the January orders, since very soon the import will become a little hell for a month.
