Canton Fair
The Canton Fair, now called the China Import and Export Fair, has been held in Guanzhou for 59 years. A fair attended by hundreds of China’s best, whether in product manufacturing or scientific research.
Undoubtedly, the Canton Fair is the most important in all of China, as it is the largest in terms of the quantity and variety of products that can be found, the number of attendees and the one where the most commercial agreements are reached in the Asian country.
It may seem an exaggeration, but we are simply going to leave you with some facts about the 105th Session of the Canton Fair, sure to astound you!
At the 2009 spring show, more than 1.1 million m2 of space was utilized, with nearly 56,000 exhibit booths for 22,000 exhibitors. More than 150,000 varieties of products were presented and 165,000 people attended. But the most interesting thing is what it generated, no more and no less than more than 260 million dollars.

A fair divided into 3 sessions
The fair, held in Pazhou, Haizhu, is held twice a year. One in spring and one in autumn. Similarly, this fair is divided into three distinct phases, depending on the type of products to be exhibited.
In the first phase, the fair focuses on electronics, household appliances, machinery, lighting equipment, hardware and tools, vehicles and spare parts, as well as construction materials and chemicals.
In the second phase, the products presented at the Canton Fair are consumer products, decoration and gifts. Finally, the third phase presents textile products, shoes, office supplies, briefcases and bags, as well as salon products.
Fall Canton Fair Dates
The next fair is just a few weeks away, as the 2016 Canton Autumn Fair will kick off on October 15 with Phase 1 of electronics and lighting products, ending on October 19.
Phase 2, dedicated to consumer products, will be held from October 23 to October 27, while the third and final phase will take place between October 31 and November 4.
